Wire Rope, Rigging & Lifting Product Systems

CWRS product range is organized around five connected product families covering steel wire rope, wire rope slings and rigging assemblies, structural steel cable, polyester lifting products, and rigging hardware.

01 Product System

One Product System, Five Connected Families

The five families are not isolated catalog columns. They support related project needs around load carrying, termination, connection, lifting and structural tension — with each family keeping its own source-based technical fields.

Wire rope feeds rigging assemblies; rigging hardware provides end fittings and connections; steel cable serves structural / tension applications; lifting sling materials cover lifting plus separate cargo-securing and towing groups.

Related ≠ Compatible. Cross-family links on this page are for navigation and discovery. Size, load field and geometry must still be reviewed against the application.

01 / Wire Rope

Steel Wire Rope

Standard, special / non-rotating and compacted steel wire rope constructions for hoisting, lifting, drawing, marine, mining and transport applications listed in the current source.

Wire Rope Slings & Rigging

Wire rope slings and assemblies with defined terminations, leg counts and angle-dependent working-load tables from the current CWRS source sheets.

WLL ≠ MBL. Working Load Limit and Minimum Breaking Load are separate fields.

03 / Steel Cable

Steel Cable

Structural and terminal steel cable products for bridges, architectural structures, towers and tension systems — with source-based dimensional and strength fields.

04 / Lifting Sling

Lifting Sling

Polyester lifting slings plus cargo-securing and towing straps. Product groups and load fields are kept separate because lifting, securing and towing are not the same duty.

Lift ≠ Secure ≠ Tow. Do not mix WLL / hitch fields with Work Pressure or towing B/S fields.

05 / Rigging Hardware

Rigging Hardware

Shackles, lifting hooks, wire rope thimbles and spelter sockets used as end fittings and connecting components — with family-specific load fields from the current source.

Working Load ≠ Minimum Breaking Load. Shackle tables use Working Load; socket tables use MBL. Related links are not automatic compatibility.

Not Sure Which Product Fits Your Application?

If you do not know the exact product name, start with application and the load / size information you already have. CWRS can help identify the relevant product family and data sheets for review.

  • Application Industry or duty context
  • Product family if known Wire rope, rigging, steel cable, lifting sling or hardware
  • Required load / capacity Use the correct field for that family (WLL, MBL, Working Load, Breaking Load, etc.)
  • Size / diameter Rope, sling, cable or hardware size
  • Connection type Termination, hitch, terminal or fitting preference
  • Country + drawing / photo Destination and any assembly drawing
08 FAQ

Product system questions

What product families does CWRS supply?

Five families in the current demo: Steel Wire Rope, Wire Rope Slings & Rigging, Steel Cable, Lifting Sling, and Rigging Hardware.

How are wire rope and rigging products organized?

Wire rope is grouped by standard, special / non-rotating and compacted constructions. Rigging is grouped by sling form and leg / assembly configuration. Open each series hub for the full product range.

What information is needed for product selection?

Provide application, product family if known, required load / capacity using the correct field for that family, size / diameter, connection type, destination country and any drawing.

Do all products use the same load terminology?

No. Wire rope sheets list Minimum Breaking Load where provided. Rigging and lifting pages use WLL in configuration context. Shackles use Working Load. Sockets use Minimum Breaking Load. These fields are not interchangeable.

Can related hardware be automatically considered compatible?

No. Related product family links are for navigation. Compatibility requires matching size, load field, geometry and application — Related ≠ Compatible.

Where can I find technical data?

Open a product series hub, then a product detail page for construction options and source tables. Guide topics on this page summarize Content Source Library themes until dedicated guide pages are published.
